I am the chief technology officer (CTO) and founder of the Inrobics spin-off, as well as researcher at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). I have a Ph. D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the UC3M focused on artificial intelligence and robotics. In 2020 I defended my thesis "Multi-Layered Architectures for Autonomous Systems". Previously, in 2013, I obtained the bachelor's degree in Computer Science from this same university, although I finished my bachelor's thesis about robotics in Germany at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) university. In 2014 I finished the master's thesis at UC3M, which consisted in the development of the control architecture of a social robot and a 3D sensor to drive rehabilitation sessions for children with upper-limb impairments. This work became into the NAOTherapist project, father of the Inrobics spin-off. It received several accolades like a National Geographic documentary, the 3rd prize of the Santander Yuzz-16 entrepreneurship competition (now Explorer) or being one of the CaixaImpulse Validate-19 projects (as RoboTherapist), among others. In 2017, I was a visitor scholar in the United States in the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), working with Prof. Manuela Veloso. My current research interests include control architectures for autonomous robotics, automated planning and machine-learning techniques.
